Yes, guys I'm alive.
Finally decided to connect my PC to internet again =D
Happy Halloweeeeeeen!
Sadly we don't get candied on 31st of Oct in Japan, though.
One more reason to go back to the states!!
For free candies!!
I've decided to get a teaching license in English for Mid and Highschool,
AND a licence for special education (for like Autism and ADHD and those stuff).
I've already taken most of the required class for special education
but still need to take lots of class for teaching Engish.
Will update later when I have more time.
Anyways, hope everything is going well for you!

oooh by the way I died... I mean dyed my hair.
Now it's SLIIIIIIGHTLY brownISH.
You can barely tell that it's dyed but I'm happy with it.
I didn't want a dramatic change.
Otherwise my grandparents will think I'm FURYO.
What else... the length of hair is about the same,
it's curled a bit, but I haven't really changed.
I might go to Orlando this winter for the Dyslexia Society.
Don't know if I can make it yet, but is surely keeping
my fingers crossed :D
You guys can start saving money and I will give you
privilege of taking me to dinner >D
Just kidding :)
I really hope I can go and see you guys.
And maybe stop by at Seattle too.
But I shouldn't get my hopes too high either.
Anyway I'm doing great and Hokkaido is beautiful this season
and yes, I will update more often from now on. :P

Just a quick update.

I'll be going to Hokkaido University Education grad school
next spring IF I manage to finish my senior thesis in time..
that is, by Dec 11th.

Haven't updated for a while. sorry ><
I'm still on summer break but I haven't had break at all cause
I'll be taking the exam for grad school in 10 hours.
Tomorrow morning:
English exam for an hour and half
Exam about my major for two hours
The day after tomorrow:
An interview for 20 minutes about my research plan.
The day before the exam is always the worst.
You try to do something productive, like last minute studying
but butterfly in my tummy is trying to make it way out of me so I just end up
not doing anything particularly worthy except for reading back notes.
I've studied, yeah. But I'm not sure if it will be useful
or if I will be able to remember them when I'm actually taking the exam.
I don't really feel I'm ready for this. but oh well.
If I fail this time, I can take it again in the spring.
But then I'll have a thesis and an exam to work on and that will be
pretty heavy burden to carry at the same time, so I'd really like
to get this over with.
But then failing this time will just make me want to go more
so not getting now won't change anythying. No it wont!
Repeating that in mind, trying to comfort myself,
I think it's time I went to bed.
Wish me luck! =D
I swear I'll update more once the exam is over; even if I fail!

I'm back, so many things I wanna update here but will do it later.
Tokyo was hot, but the museum and the layout exhibition was simply amazing.
The concert... it was not perfect but to me it was still extraordinary.
Came back yesterday, woke up at 6 n worked for 2 hrs and now will go to a
meeting which I was not told about till last night, which leaves me totally
unprepared. Yea.. good friends I have. They probably thought I would be
too ahead and superior if they told me about it!!! (TOTALY NOT TRUE)
*ahem* just wanted to say that to make myself feel better for probaly
not being able to say anythying for the next 2 hrs... *sigh*
Anyway I had my carrots, now it's time to work for the exam and the thesis.

"omg I cant stop meself from devouring potato chips!" entry.
now i have a good news...
I've gotten sick and haven't really eaten for 2 and a half days.
so I probably won't be as fat as I was worried when I ate potato chips
at midnight.... I'm hoping my crave would go away by the time I heal.
My cellphone's ringtone is now Ponyo on the cliff by the sea.

Going to see Ghost in the Shell 2.0 in theater tomorrow. Wheeeee

what I did today:
11am~1pm karaoke
2pm~4pm cake buffet
5pm~7pm saw Ponyo on the cliff
8pm sushi for dinner
money i spent: 3500 yen
present condition: happiest and comfortably tired
I keep getting upset whenever I think about
grad school and beyond that but
you know, it will work out in the end.
Ponyo is worth seeing in theater.

Anybody heard that G8 summit is gonna be held in Hokkaido this summer?
Well my school is hosting "G8 University Summit" as well.
The difference between the two is that instead of presidents and prime ministers,
chancelor? of universities around the world is gonna be here to hold a conference.
I don't know if it's gonna be worth coming all the
way to Japan but it's first attempt so we'll see how it goes.
And I was chosen to be a "student ambassador" for UCLA.
I know it sounds really important when i say "ambassador", but
all we do it meet up with them at the airport and
show them where they are supposed to be at what time.
There's gonna be a professional translator during the conference
so we basically just chat with them while we are going somewhere together.
I was pretty excited (because they pay well and I get to skip class)
till one of my friend from Seattle called me....
and I really couldn't talk.
Words won't come out of my mouth,
I couldn't really say what I wanted to say
Why is it that learning a language takes forever
but losing a language takes no time at all?! *break down n cry*
I NEED A FRIEND.(gosh that sounds sad)
a friend that speaks English and would have lunch with me and talk a lot.

There's this great series of novel called "Moribito" series.
It's as great as "Twelve Kingdoms", and I don't know if it's been
translated into English but you should definitely check it out.
It's been made into an Anime, and they did a wonderful
job. THe quality of video is better at Niconico video, but
you can see the same video on Youtube too. :D hope you like it!

So, as I was worried, I ALMOST got fired.
He even hired an English teacher and told me he was ready
to replace me if he'll need to anytime.
He's not mean, he's just strict.
He's strict on himself so he expects the same from his employees.
Now that I know how he is I'll be careful from now on. >:-)

I've been sick for 3 days, from Saturday to Monday and I totally feel
like a useless shit cause I was supposed to work today. :-(
aaaaaah. what if he decides to fire me because I couldn't work today?!!!
I'm finally getting better, though.
I ate rice for the first time in 2 days!
Being sick made me realize how great it is to live with someone who cares.
When I lived in Seattle, my friend would drop by after school with
vitamin water and stuff cause my host mother didn't give a damn
on her students (as long as she got her rent.
Now I live with my grandparents, and they were slightly over reacting,
but hey, it's better than not being worried.

Haven't eaten rice for 2 days but somehow lost no weight(disappointed) Michi
